POWERS, Robert Of Winthrop, formerly of East Boston, peacefully with his devoted family by his bedside, on Oct 9. Beloved husband of the late Marie (Zichella). Devoted father of Robert Powers, Ronald Powers and wife Christine, all of Belmont, Russell Powers and wife Nicole, of Winthrop. Dear brother of the late Richard, James and Margaret Powers. Cherished grandfather of Robert, Joia, Rebecca, Chiara, Bianca and Rhiana. Adored great-grandfather of Kai. Also lovingly survived by his many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will honor Mr. Powers' life by gathering on Thursday, Oct, 12 in the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St. (Orient Heights) EAST BOSTON from 4-8 and again on Friday morning at 8:30 before leaving in procession to the Most Holy Redeemer Church, Maverick St. (Maverick Sq.) East Boston for a Funeral Mass celebrating Mr. Powers' life at 10AM. Services will conclude with Mr. Powers being laid to rest with Military Honors in the Mausoleum at Holy Cross Cemetery with his beloved wife Marie. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. In honoring Mr. Powers, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to All Care Hospice, 210 Market St., Lynn, MA 01901.
