COSTA, Roberta Passed away suddenly at her home in Mashpee on Friday, June 13. Roberta will be remembered for her heart of love, thoughtfulness and amazing generosity. She treasured her family and friends and showered them with words of love and encouragement through cards, emails and her home baked goods. She retired from her job at Social Security Administration after 37 years of service and received many awards for her excellence as both a trainer and manager. She loved the beach and living on Cape Cod, one of her greatest joys was having family and friends visit for a fun filled day on the shores of Craigville Beach. Roberta was a gift to all who knew her, the gift of her heart and warm smile, joyful ways and always giving of herself - thank you Roberta! Roberta was the loving wife of George Costa, a devoted mother to her son Christopher and proud grandmother of Tyler and Nathan. She was a daughter of Anthony J. Merlino and Frances M.(Esposito). She will missed by her sisters, Linda, Donna, Chickie and her nephews Andrew, Brandon, Myles and their families. A Funeral Service will be held in Osterville Baptist Church 824 Main Street, Osterville on Wednesday June 18, 2014 at 11 am. Visiting hours in the John-Lawrence Funeral Home 3778 Falmouth Rd., (Rt28) Marstons Mills, MA on Tues from 2:00-4:00 & 6: -8: pm. Burial in Great Neck Woods in Mashpee.
