RONALD L. BRIAND

BRIAND, Ronald L. Of Londonderry, NH, former longtime resident of Burlington and Cambridge. Passed peacefully on December 23, 2021, at the age of 86. The only child of the late Louis R. Briand and Mary L. (Grover). He was brought up by his beloved grandmother, the late Emma Grover. Devoted husband of 61 years to Kathleen 'Kathie' (Phaneuf) of Londonderry, NH. Loving father of Renee Kelly and her husband Stephen of Londonderry, NH, David J. Briand of Clearwater, FL, and Jeanne Briand and her wife Lynn Fisher of Lebanon, NH. Cherished grandfather of Paul and Michelle of NH, Julianna of IN, Tony of NB, and Emma of FL. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren. Ron retired from the Cambridge Police Department after 34 years of service. Graduate of Cambridge Rindge & Latin, and Northeastern University (73). Late Army Veteran, 82nd Airborne from 1954-1956. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours on Thursday, December 30th, from 11am-12:30pm from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street, ARLINGTON. His Prayer service will follow in the funeral home at 12:30pm. Burial and Military Honors will follow in North Cambridge Catholic Cemetery.
