SALVATORE V. IMBERGAMO

1930 - 2018

IMBERGAMO, Salvatore V. 87, formerly of Southport in Mashpee, passed away on March 9, 2018. Sal was born and raised in the North End of Boston, son of the late Francesco Imbergamo and Josephine Piazza. He was married to Grace A. DeLorenzo for over fifty-six years, raising their family in the Jamaica Plain section of Boston. After his retirement from the MBTA, they settled on the Cape and wintered in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. Sal enjoyed spending time with family and friends, travelling and cruising with his lifelong love Grace until her passing in 2010.

Sal leaves behind daughter, Nancy I. Johnson and husband Mike of Hyannis, son Paul J. Imbergamo and his wife Paula of Wakefield, Rhode Island, son Frank J. Imbergamo of Peabody, five grandchildren; Amanda Meyer, Melissa Honeywood, Michael Mahoney, Laura Mahoney, Amy Imbergamo, and one great grandchild, August Honeywood. He also leaves behind, a brother Charles Imbergamo, sisters; Nancy Gaudin, Marie Smith, Rose Musto, and Josephine Cosenza, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Lelli and brothers Gaetano, Frank, and Vincent Imbergamo.

A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte 151) MASHPEE, on Sunday, March 18 2018 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Jude's Chapel in Christ the King Church, 3 Job's Fishing Rd., Mashpee, on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 10:00am. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 11:15am.
