SAMUEL LEE PITTS Jr.

PITTS, Samuel (Bud) Lee Jr. 86, May 27, 2013. A life long resident of Harrison, ME. Son of the late Samuel Lee & Fannie Fae Witter Pitts. Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was co-owner of Vacationland Campsites on Crystal Lake in Harrison, ME. He ran the campsite from 1960-1971. In the early 70's he began making and selling pine furniture, later he refinished oak furniture and was known as "Mr. Oak" Sam was a die hard Red Sox fan. Sam worked at Yonkers Raceway in NY. Sam's last wish was to see the gazebo in Crystal Lake Park finished and to have summer concerts. Predeceased by wife Irma, brother Russell, sister Virginia, daughter Katherine Pitts. Survived by two daughters, Donna and Judy and step daughter Martha Merrill. Funeral service May 31 at 11AM at the United Parish Church in Harrison, ME.
