Dear Family of Shirley (Steeves) Fessenden - How saddened I am to read of your dear Mother's passing. She was a classmate of mine in junior high and high school. The last time we spent together was at our 50th class reunion (MHS '51) in 2001. We had such a great time than evening and the next day at breakfast, as well. Shirley was one of the most beautiful girls/ladies I ever knew - both within and without. We used to have such fun in some of our classes, and somewhere in this house of mine, I have a picture of 'us girls' from junior high school seated on the lawn in front of her family home in Medford. Should I find it, I will send it to you - just a little memory of her from her youth. Shirley had a sweet speaking voice, too, and I can hear her in my memory now. Your Dad was a great fellow, as well. He was in my Algebra II and American History class in those halcyon days. Such a brilliant young man, he was - and helped me often with my Algebra homework!! It all came so clearly to him!! May he and your lovely Mother rest in the peace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Shirley and Steve were a wonderfully matched couple. They are together now and will await an awesome gathering for family and friends at that future Heavenly reunion. With love and blessings for all your families,

I knew Shirley from the beach although I have not seen her for some time. She was so nice and she did so enjoy and care about her family - first and foremost. She was always pleasant with a such a nice smile. She will be missed and I'm sure her presence will always be there at Short beach.
