It saddens me to hear of Sophie's passing. She was a wonderful person. I still have the hat and mittens she and Bea made for my children. She will be missed. My condolences to her family.

To the Aucoin Family and in Bill's
memory: With sincere respect upon
the passing of your Mother. I can
recall her profound strength 21 years
ago when your brother Bill suddenly
passed. Sophie's faith, hope and
endurance was and continues to be
an example of her strong Catholic
upbringing and true Christian spirit.
It was a French-Canadian tradition
that made the difference in her life
and the life of her children and her
grandchildren and their children.
PEACE AND PRAYERS - Tom Casey

Our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Aucoin family and Michelle for your great loss.

Although we only met her once, Sophie left an indelible memory in our lives and especially that of our daughter Jane. She was the substitute grandmother Jane didn't have, when she was at Brandeis and later while living in Watertown.

We will always remember our Great-Great Aunt.

Aunt Sophie was famous for saying:"What will be, will be!" We are extremely grateful for her kindness and generosity. We felt blessed to live above her. She was never too busy when we showed up for a visit to share a roll, baked beans, some pie, and some tea. Her rolls were the highest I have ever seen and our kids were hooked on them from age 2. Here apple and blueberry pies were incredible. She taught my wife how to knit and shared so many great stories of her childhood with us. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her loved ones. She was truly one of a kind.
