It is hard to believe it has been 3 years. I miss our quarterly get togethers, philosophizing different topics while enjoying dinner and beers. Your sage advice and council was always welcomed. I am sure you are running the pickup basketball games there, keeping everyone on their toes. You left way too early, my friend.

Steve was my first college professor I ever had. He was the nicest, funniest, upbeat professor I've ever had. My Condolences go to the family. I'm glad to have been one of Steve's students. And if I wasn't in any of his classes, he'd stop by in the hallway and say "Hey, How's going Ryan", we'd have short conversations. Thank You for a Wonderful class Steve! Rest In Peace.

I am so so sorry to hear of Professor Bonkowski's sudden passing. I was so lucky and blessed to have him as my professor this past fall semester. He taught me and the class so much useful information on Child Development. He always made class fun and would almost always have a joke to tell the class or an interesting story. Rest In Peace Professor Bonkowski. He will truly be missed.

My condolences to Steve's family. Steve was a big part of Mass Bay. I remember a few years ago he led an eye-opening workshop on Professional Day on how faculty can help students with career advice and job search skills. He recently volunteered to serve on an important adjunct/management committee for our union. Steve will be missed by his colleagues and by the many students on whose behalf he did so much inside and outside the classroom. Prof. Bob Tarutis

I hadn't known Steven very long. However, he and I hit it off quickly and had a good connection.

He was a straight shooter, and had one heck of a sense of humor.

My daughter had the opportunity to take one of his classes this past fall. She thought he was fantastic. She really enjoyed his class.

I will miss him. God bless him and you, his family.

Steve was a great colleague and friend. I do not know his family, but I can assure them his loss will also be felt sorely by the faculty, staff, and students at MassBay. He was a dynamic educator and an advocate, both for students and for Adjuncts within the Union. His valuable contributions are too numerous to list and his absence difficult to fathom. My sincerest condolences to those who knew and loved him best.

As a colleague at MassBay, Steve was not only a pleasure to work with, but fun. Our students he supported often returned back to him, and many gravitated towards his courses. He was always a felt sense of student support and a truly wonderful colleague. My thoughts and condolences are with you.

As Steves former manager at Coldwell Banker in Dedham, I can tell you that there wasn't a man is this world who loved his family as much as Steve. He was the greatest human being and I knew it the day I hired him. He will be sorely missed by all who love him. As the widow of a husband who also died suddenly from a heart attack, my heart is with you all. I also have two older daughters, a younger son and a grandchild. Praying the memories sustain you.
