My condolences to the Kafka family. I worked with Sue at Thermo Fisher. She strived for greatness and was a leader. Sue knew the value of hard work and made sure to recognize it when she saw it. We both loved dogs and I always enjoyed listening to her talk about her rhodesians. Sue was a wonderful woman and she will be missed. May she Rest In Peace.

I met Sue when we were in high school during the Rotary exchange students. She was absolutely the most kindness kids I had the pleasyof knowing so early on in my life. She wore a smile and had a laugh that was contagious. I would run into her throughout the years and we would pick up a conversation like we were teenagers all over again. Rest peacefully my old friend. You were a special soul and a great lady.

I am so saddened by the loss of Sue. I worked with Sue at Thermo Fisher. She was one of the warmest, kindest souls I've ever met. She had such a heart for people, which made her perfectly suited for her human resources profession. She has left an indelible mark on all of her colleagues, and we will miss her greatly. Rest in peace, Sue.

February 20, 2020

I loved Sue, who we affectionately called Skafka. I spent quite a bit of time with her in our HS years and she had the most beautiful eyes and smile. She had an amazing silly side that I am not sure everyone got to see - but man, she was funny and loved to laugh. I saw her at the last reunion, and I will treasure that memory. Frankly, there are just not enough Sue's in the world, and the world is a less beautiful place without her in it.

Dear Kafka Family,
Not sure where to begin. My heart is broken over the news. My sincere condolences to all of you. Sue was a big part of my life when it was most important. We shared so many memories at an age when you needed a friend. She was surely one of the best I ever had. I remember when my mother died and so many people came to pay respects but there was only one I was waiting to see. When Sue came up to me , there was a big smile on both of us. I remember saying to her, I've been waiting for you. We hugged and everything seemed ok for a minute. That's what she could do. There was genuine love there , even if it was forged so many years ago. I don't think it ever left either of us. She will always be in my heart. When I think back there will be sadness that we didn't see each other much over the years because life gets in the way. But when I think back there will be a smile as well. I will think of simpler times and how great it was just to be around her and how happy she could make you. Because that's what she could do.
God Bless.

I am so sorry to learn about Sues passing. Sue and I were colleagues at Thermo Fisher for just a little over a year. However, in that time I found that we established a true friendship. Sue became one of my strongest advocates and most valued mentors. I welcomed every opportunity to seek her guidance and, often during that same discussion, have a good laugh. Sue will remain in my thoughts and as a guiding voice for me for many years to come.
