Dear Tompkins Family,
I just wished Suzanne a "Happy Birthday" on Facebook and was so saddened to read the news. I knew Suzanne through the Franklin Park Zoo and I'm the Artist who made the Gorilla Sculpture of Kiki and Kimani and recently worked with Boston School Children to create the Donor Wall for the new Children's Zoo. I have heard from Suzanne recently and had been hoping to see her soon. It was always a pleasure to meet with Suzanne and her smile and enthusiasm for the arts always brightened up the room and touched my heart. I can still picture how beautiful she looked at the last Zootopia in her beautiful green skirt.
I have experienced personal unexpected loss and I would like to give my condolences to the family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Suzanne's family members.

On behalf of The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam, allow me to extend our heartfelt condolences to Sheriff Tompkins and family in the passing of Sister Suzanne Tompkins. Though I did not know sister personally, I can rest assured that she was the better half of the Sheriff and the wind beneath his wings. May Allah (God) be pleased with her.

Sheriff Tompkins and family,
At times life this it seems that there are never words to say to those who suffer loss. Rest assured in knowing that our great God knows exactly what pain you feel, the burden of your loss. He has promised not to let you go through alone. He will carry you over the rough road, He will lift your burden, He will he the wound of your loss and He will restore joy to your life. His Word promises it and His promises cannot fail. I am only one of many, possibly hundreds, perhaps thousands that are holding your family up in prayer. He will answer our prayers on your behalf. God bless you at this time.
