TERENCE CAMPBELL Obituary

CAMPBELL, Terence Jude Passed away peacefully, on Friday, November 14, at the age of 96, in the Brockton VA hospice facility. Born in Boston, to Terence and Annie (McIleny) Campbell, he was the anchor of his extended family. He grew up in Charlestown, Dorchester, and Quincy, Massachusetts. Always a worker, Terence took his first job at the age of nine as a grocery delivery boy and worked continuously until his retirement from South Shore Bank in Quincy, as VP of consumer loans. Additionally, he was employed in construction and as a heavy equipment operator, including two years in the U.S. Army 54th Engineer Battalion with the rank of Corporal. Terence was a beloved father; he was kind and affable. He often remarked "if you can't get along with me, you can't get along with anyone," a phrase that could not be more true. Terence was preceded in death by his wife, Constance Norton Campbell; and son, Terence (Jay) Campbell; and is survived by his daughters, Deborah Beckman and Maribeth (Benjamin) Bowen; grandchildren, Christopher Beckman, Kaitlin (Stephen Moorehead) Yelle, Daniel Campbell, Erin Campbell, Constance Bowen, Fiona Bowen, and Bridget Bowen; and great-grandchildren, Addison Yelle, Vivienne Yelle, and Jameson Campbell. A private family Service of remembrance will be held in December.

I worked with Terry for over twenty years. He was right. If you couldn't get along with him you couldn't get along with anyone. He was kind, funny and a great human being.
He as also a great family man who loved his family dearly.
He was also the only person I knew that didn't cover his swimming pool in the winter because he didn't have any trees to worry about. God Bless all of you.
