When I was in the 7th grade in 1969, it was Sr. Theresa's first year at Sacred Heart School in Lynn. She was a great teacher and also a little strict, which was just what our class needed back then. I met her a few other times through the years at various events at Sacred Heart Parish and she was always friendly and enjoyed hearing about how her students had turned out. She certainly made an impact on many lives. Condolences to her family.

Theresa was a joy to live with in community. As faithful resident of West Lynn, if you had run for mayor, you would have won by a landslide. Thank you for your inspiration, dedication and a life fully lived.

Sister Theresa, you have been a wonderful friend to Jeanne, Jenn and I over the years. We had some wonderful times with you and your family. Jeanne and I fondly remember how we used to take you (and a companion sister, at the time) from St Anthony's to your family home in Lynn. Your parents and brothers were just so welcoming and fun to be with.
A funny story that Sister always brought up to us when we would visit is that when we got married in 1970, Sister Theresa and her Mom came to the wedding. Sister at the time was wearing her habit. At the reception, they were seated at a table up front near the head table. My Dad had arranged the entertainment which included a six piece band and Red Nolan, a Comedian.
Needles to say, when Red Nolan came up to start his routine, he looked at Sister and said "Hello Sister, and there goes my act!!!". She laughed and was such a good sport.
That story is just one of many over the years.
Sister, we will miss you for your love, friendship and kindness.
We love you Sister Theresa.
