NELLIGAN, Thomas J. Jr. Of Waltham, passed away on April 9, 2021 in Boston after living with pancreatic cancer for over two years. He grew up in Ansonia, CT, the son of Thomas, Sr. and Dorothy Student Nelligan. He graduated as salutatorian of Notre Dame High School in West Haven, CT and was a "Double Eagle," having graduated from Boston College Undergraduate and Boston College Law School. Tom's passions led him to travel the US and Europe. His love of traditional British Isles music resulted in multiple trips to the UK and attendance at the Cropredy Folk Festival. He was also a regular contributor to Dirty Linen Magazine. Baseball was also a passion, and for many years he made at least a dozen trips to major and minor league ball parks throughout the US. His early interest in trains inspired him to publish two books, for which he was both the writer and the photographer. Tom leaves his mother, sister Mary Ann, brother-in-law Jim, and niece Molly, as well as many friends on both sides of the Atlantic. Services will be private, followed by a Celebration of his Life this summer in Connecticut. The next time you listen to live music or go to a ball game, hoist a 'Gansett in Tom's honor.
