PIERSIAK, Thomas M. Of Needham, December 5, 2009. Beloved husband of Carolyn J. (MacKinnon) of Needham. Devoted father of Thomas and his wife Heidie of Knox, ME, Michael and his wife Pamela, Jeanne and her husband William Rayner, Jack and his wife MaryBeth, William and his late wife Heather (McNeil) all of Needham, Robert and his wife Jennifer of Medfield, James and his wife Elaine of Walpole and the late Judy and her husband Gary Maas of Cochecton, NY. Brother of Dorothy Cooper, Florence Petchulat, Frank Piersiak and the late Helen Matus. Also survived by 29 loving grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Bartholomew Church in Needham on Wednesday, December 9th at 10AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Late US Marine Corp Korean War Veteran. Retired self employed plumbing contractor in the Needham area for many years. Tom was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the family farm in Maine. In his retirement he made cedar benches for his family, friends and handcrafted items for his grandchildren. Tom's pride and joy besides his family was his garden which he tended to every year.
