I found poetry/quips written by a Tom Riordan in a poetry group and noticed they stopped in May of 2019. Wondering if this is the same man... If so my condolences to his family and friends, I can tell by what i read he was a larger than life personality and know he left shoes that can never be filled... if not the same man, peace to you and pardon my intrusion! Tom, for over 30 years we worked together at many places and traveled together to more buyer appointments than I can count. You were more than someone I worked with, you were a good friend. I will miss your laughter, your gentle soul, your sweet smile and that special twinkle in your eye that I will never forget. Through all the years I knew you, I knew how much you loved your family and that they were everything to you. Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed by everyone whose life you touched. My heart goes out to Germaine, Sean, Monica and Gillian with my deepest condolences. May God hold you all close now and always.

I am indebted to Tom in so many ways as a great mentor during my formative years. I caddied at New Seabury under his watchful eye and he taught and encouraged me so much. Tom cared greatly by both rewarding good behavior and appropriately addressing areas for improvement. I was so fortunate to have met and worked for him as this experience opened up many doors of opportunity in life which would never have happened otherwise. Our lives are so interconnected and these relationships matter mostand I am so richly blessed to have known him. Rest In Peace Tommy...You certainly earned and deserve it!!

I will miss our periodic chats and breakfasts. "Ar dheis de go raibh a anam" in the Irish language translates to "may his soul be on the right side of God".

Tom was a terrifc guy and a good cousin. At the family reunion recently, after telling him I was heading out to play Pasa Tiempo in CA., he said hold on a minute, went back to his table and returned with his blue Pebble Beach, 2019 U.S. Open golf sweater and insisted that I have it. I've worn it proudly ever since.

We send our love and deepest condolences to Germaine, Sean and Jacqueline, Gillian and Monica. We loved Tom for his big heart and his great spirit, for his unabashed love of Boston College hockey (and his secret love of Notre Dame). Our lives were enlarged and enriched by knowing Tom, who seemed to know *everyone* (!) and draw everyone into his warm circle of family and friends. Tom loved everyone and everyone loved him in return. We will miss him and will remember him as a dear friend.

It's with a heavy heart and many tears that I have to say goodbye to a great and one of the most compassionate men I've ever met . I can still see the first time I met tommy at the Quiet Man bar in Manhattan which was a big hangout for the Arrow shirt guys . He was sitting at the big round table with Mike Prendergast and tommy siano and He gave me that half cocked smile and said I heard a lot about you Smitty, welcome to the club . Well 38 years later it's with much sadness but with a lot of great memories that I'm saying goodbye. I talked to him about a month ago and when he found out I was battling colon cancer, he immediately reached out to me and his last words before we hung up were , Smitty we had a helluva run and let's remember those times .. Germaine and kids my deepest condolences

The most caring person I have ever known. His mission was to connect people so that everyone could help another in some way. He was a warrior with a very soft soul. Rest in peace my good friend always knowing how much you will be loved and revered by all who knew you. So many legacies are connected to you. But the Wild Colonial Boys are a real tribute to your generosity of time and friendship.
