WILLIAM L. "BILLY" ADELSON

ADELSON, William "Billy" L. Of Chestnut Hill, formerly of Newton, died peacefully in his home on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Jane (Annesse) Adelson. Loving father of Jonathan Adelson and Jodi Raphael and her husband Gabriel Miller. He was the son of the late Rose (Daner) and Joe Adelson. Cherished and adored grandfather of Blake Raphael, Adam Raphael and his wife Currin, Maxine and Evelyn Adelson and step-grandfather of Sela Miller and her husband Zak Taylor and Matthew Miller. Devoted brother to Henrietta Wasserman and her late husband, Teddy. Brother-in-law of Priscilla Brotherton, her husband Joe, Betty Dyson & her late husband Clive, and the late Mary Ellen and Kenneth Annese. And many beloved nieces and nephews and their families. Adored life-long friend to many. While accomplished in business, his priority was his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Bill grew up In Dorchester and attended Roxbury Memorial until his parents moved to Newton in 1952, where he met his beloved Janie at Newton High School. After serving in the Korean War, he attended Northeastern University he went on to join the family plumbing supply business that his father had started with his brother. He grew Adelson Bros. into a successful and nationally recognized firm. He was loved by his employees, suppliers, and customers for his expertise, sense of humor, and how he made everyone feel important. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 18 at 12:00 noon at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 475 Washington Street, CANTON. Burial to follow at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will be receiving visitors following the burial and on Sunday at a place to be announced at the service.
