I am so sorry to see this news of Bill's passing. After working at Gillette all day, on Monday evenings he would work at my father's drug store (Dee Pharmacy), just up from the Reading Depot. Bill was a Registered Pharmacist, and liked to keep his hand in the retail end of the business, as well as the research side. He had a dignified kindness that was very impressive to my young mind. Later, we became neighbors and would chat as he and his wife would take a walk together. These are fond memories that I hope to hold for a long time. My condolences to the family.

Dear Ruth and your family, I send my most honorable, heart felt sorrow at the loss of your precious Dad. Your total care and respect for him all the way has been more than admirable. The Good Lord has seen your work. You will be rewarded. Last, he is with your Mom, were he would now choose to be. Love to you, your Friend Cheryl

To the family, Bill was the personification of "grace" and so welcoming to me as the interim minister at Reading several years ago. He and his wife opened their home to me and my husband, Howard, and gave special insights into the life of the Unitarian Universalist Church and the town of Reading. I will never forget the amazing grace of Bill and I know the Church membership, family and friends will miss him so very much. I join them in this loss but also in remembering the wonderful memories of his love for family, friends, and his spiritual home, the Reading Unitarian Universalist Church! Sincerely, the Rev. Doris Hunter
