My family lost an amazing man this week. Never in my life have I met a stronger, harder fighter than my father. Dad was devoted to his family, and to his many foster kids. Many of whom came where just as devoted to him. His family, his children and being able to provide a safe home to children in need where just a few of the things that drove him.
Daddy's time here with us is finished, but his love will live on in the hearts of those who he loved and those who loved him.
And somewhere in heaven, he is taking a long walk, with Chauncey and Buster, and he can see the flowers, and he got to hug God. Just keep those things in mind when you start to get sad. He's happy once again.
I love you, Daddy, and I will miss you. I will see when you open Heavens gates for me.
