Wow. Eight years since you've been gone. Still I think of you when I hear TOOL or see the many photos I was honored to take of your performances.

Just wanted to say that I was thinking about you and your family recently. I've grown so much as a musician and a person since 2012 and I wish you could see what I've become. You're the reason I stuck with guitar. Thank you.

Billy, my heart is saddened by knowing that I will never 'see' you again. But my heart jumps for joy in having the extreme pleasure of knowing you for over 20 years! I miss you daily, I constantly look @ pictures of you, us, the band. there is 'a hole in my soul', as my friends from Aerosmith would sing. And that hole will never be filled again.
Love you so much my big 'teddy bear!'

We met several years ago when you began teaching my young son guitar and I knew right away, we would share a very special friendship. You were chosen to be teacher; it was your gift to all of us, and your vocation was not solely teaching music. I learned so much from you in the time that we shared together, more than you could ever know. We talked on the phone almost every day and usually it was about nothing, yet it wasn't the conversation that mattered as much as feeling connected and listening to your warm friendly voice on the line. It's hard to believe it's been a little over a year since you've passed on; so much has changed but the heart ache and sadness within me still remains. You are always in my thoughts and I miss you every single day. I'm so very blessed to have been a part of your brief yet meaningful life ~ Thank you Bill

Yours,MJ

I am his student of many years We would talk before and after my lesson on any subject. From music to world events. Sometimes I would bring in an article and the next week he would say, Jim, I read that story, here's what I think. I'm going to miss his opinions and thoughts and the great friendship we had.

Dear Meehan Family,

I am sorry for the loss of Bill. I am a guitarist and I was very lucky to have had Bill as my teacher. He was a great guitarist along with being a great teacher and an even better person. Bill is the one and only man who got me to where I am today as a guitarist. I definitely wouldn't have gotten to where I am today without all of the support from Bill. Rest in peace Bill. We will all miss you.

I have never met Bill but have had the pleasure of working with his sister Maureen. As I review these memories of Bill, I've learned that he was a fun-loving musician who embraced the joy and wonders of life. My best wishes during these sad times for Maureen and the Meehan family. I will be walking in Bill's memory in next year's 2013 Southern New England AHA Heartwalk

I had met Bill several times at shows, and when he came to my house to take guitar lessons with my brother Ethan. I am a guitarist as well, and every time I would play a show or post a YouTube video, he would always write me an extremely positive and encouraging email about it. I didn't have the chance to get to know him as well as I would've liked, but he was always very nice and supportive of me and my brother. I will never forget that. I was very saddened to hear about his passing, and all my thoughts go out to his family. Rest in peace, Bill.

I did not know Bill very well. I had seen him play several times with Mary Beth Maes as well as the Slush Puppies and was very quickly taken with his talent and virtuosity upon first seeing him. I never went up to say hello, sometimes when I am at shows, I donot wish to be bothersome to the musicians so I just enjoy the show and keep to myself just taking in what I am hearing and seeing. I always saw folks running up to him and saying hello and shaking his hand and he always greeted everyone with a huge smile on his face and always seemed warm, respectful and appreciative to people. That is what I remember about Bill, exuded such positivity. Being a musician myself, he was extemely influencial to me and kept me positive and passionate about music and the Boston Music Scene and he never knew it. Wish I would have told him so.

Billy, we had over 25 years of much love, laughter and your incredible music. I am crushed, your were taken from us too soon. But now, you get to play with an even bigger band, anyone you want! And you know what, you can hold your own with any of them. I have so many memories, and pictures that my mind swims. But they are all the best. My hear felt condolences for your family. The same goes for your 'other' family The Slushpuppies and Toolfist. You played for me more times than I can count, and made me laugh even more. Rest in peace because you deserve it. I will miss you forever until we get to meet again.
Love you much,
Vickie
