HEFFERNAN, Wm. Paul Of Wakefield, MA, formerly of Somerville and Medford, after a long illness on October 11, 2021. Beloved husband for 57 years to Eileen (Hooley) Heffernan. Loving father of Tom & wife Alisa of San Diego; Dave & wife Marianne of Wakefield; and Bob & wife Amanda of North Reading. "Papa" to seven wonderful and loving grandchildren, Katie, Amy, Fiona, Haven, Erin, Brian and Hudson. Preceded in death by his sister Jeane & brother-in-law Peter Beisheim. Also survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Beisheim of Norton and Mary Cashins & husband Bob of Reading; and Jerry Sykora of Marietta, GA, plus numerous nieces & nephews; and a special niece, Peggy Kelly & husband David & their two daughters Lauren Kelly Chartier and Lindsey Kelly. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Saturday, October 16 at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., WAKEFIELD on Friday, October 15 from 4-7pm. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.

Dear Eileen and family,
Don and I were so sorry to hear of Paul's passing.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. We always enjoy seeing you in our Heron Pond neighborhood. You were the first couple we met when we moved here. We will miss seeing Paul's smiling face in the neighborhood.

Eileen and family....so sorry for your loss...Mary has told me how upbeat he has been and that is how I remember him...the times I saw him he was always laughing....you and your family are in my prayers...remember all the great times you had and maybe that will lessen the sadness a bit....Rita
