ZOE LEVINSON

LEVINSON, Zoe Mrs. Zoe W. Levinson died on April 6, 2018 after a long and very active life. She was the much-loved wife of the late Lawrence M. Levinson and cherished mother to Laura Smith, and Robert Levinson and his wife Tangela. Zoe, a life-long resident of Newton, graduated from the Ward Elementary School, Weeks Junior High School, and Newton High School. She graduated from Vassar College, and met and married Larry Levinson while he was finishing law school at Harvard after the war. Mrs. Levinson volunteered her time to and was a member of the ladies' committee of the MFA, a member and president of the Vassar Club of Boston, of the Friends of the Vassar Art Museum, and president of the Portview Condominium in Maine. However, her greatest passion was collecting art, traveling the world and spending time with her friends. Services were private. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, contributions should be sent to Good Shepherd Community Care at 90 Wells Avenue, Newton, MA 02459.
