To my Sister Debbie,

You are one of the strongest people I know. My nephew had a heart of gold. Debbie, you raised a gentleman. You raised a son who dreamed and had the strength to take those dreams and make them goals and then reality. My Aaron will be missed by his little nieces Rory and Pilan. I still look at their pictures together and a smile comes over my face. I know your son will always have his arms around your heart and your soul. Bless you Aaron, you are truly an angel. I miss you! Love, your Auntie Linda

One thing about it is that even though we know Aaron is going to a better place, it is never easy saying goodbye. I am relieve to know that with Aaron I feel like it is not a goodbye, but more of an hello to Legendary Individual who's name will live on like Martin Luther King or Rosa Parks and anyone else that stood up for non voilence and justice in our communities. Alot of people are afraid to do what these youth are doing in communities, placing themselves in sacrificial positions for the greater good. Thanking God and also praying for the family, hoping that some type of healing is taking place paving the way for more chain breakers. The enemy is on the rise, and it is time to stand up and break the chains.

He was my family, my friend. He was my cousin. He was my brother. But most importantly Aaron Wornum was someone to me that really cared and was always there. He was a man with a good heart, who only wanted to share his love...

I am soo sorry to hear about this. I met Aaron through the Year Up program and ALWAYS enjoyed speaking with him and hearing his perspective on the problems that face our generation and the possible solutions. He had a very genuine heart and intellect that was razor sharp. His spirit will be forever missed but never forgotten.
