Joan M. Mulhern

MULHERN Joan M., 51, of Washington DC, formerly of Moretown, VT and Sherborn MA, December 18, 2012, after complications from a long term illness. The devoted daughter of the late Marie L. (Henry) and John F. Mulhern. She was the beloved sister of Marie C., Martha L. and John C. Mulhern of Boston and the late Robert A. Mulhern. Dearly remembered niece and cousin, she will be missed by her many friends and colleagues. A Memorial Service will be held in the Eaton and Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre Street, NEWTON CORNER, on Saturday, January 5th at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday January 4th from 4:00 P.M. 7:00 P.M. Ms. Mulhern graduated from The University of Vermont in 1985 and magna cum laude from Georgetown Law School in 1997. Ms. Mulhern was Senior Legislative Counsel at Earthjustice at the time of her death. She was a tireless advocate for the environment. Her commitment to the fight for clean water earned Ms. Mulhern nation recognition and admiration.
