John Hickey Obituary

HICKEY John G. Jr. of Boston 52 years of age, passed away unexpectedly at the Boston Medical Center on October 19, 2012. He was born in Boston and was raised in Dedham where he graduated from Dedham High School. He was a retired employee of the Department of Public Works for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. John loved horses, and at one time was a part owner of a racehorse at the former Foxboro Raceway. He was an avid sports fan. John was the son of the late John G. Hickey and Dolores M. (Hartford) Hickey. John is survived by his longtime companion Tricia Turnbow of Boston. He is the loving father of his two sons James D. Hickey and Donnie Daniels both of Boston. He is the proud grandfather of Jalieah L. Hickey, Eddie Daniels and Damere Daniels. John is the devoted brother of James J. Hickey of Abington, and Laraine A. Hickey of Tamarac, FL. At John’s request, all services will be private. Memorial donations in John’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22311.
