Mary was one of my sister's best Pals at Saint Paul's School. A favorite memory is Mary coming to our house after first Friday communion for breakfast. I arrived home first and questioned my mother about the fancy table setting. My mother was from Ireland too and she kept me guessing till Mary and my sister Betty arrived. I was two years younger but I vividly remember the two of them most Sundays in Rodger Williams Park and the merry-go-round, a place where the girls would meet the boys.

I have an abundance of rich memories of my unforgettable friend Mary Mulligan when we were Milton neighbors. Mary's love of literature, her keen mind, joyful wit and warm welcoming spirit remain as some of my fondest Milton memories. Mary's family will remember me as mother to Shelagh, Michael, Peter and Annie "Tweety Bird" Leahy. With deep personal condolences to Mary's family and friends.

A very special lady! Her legacy will be the very special family she leaves behind. I will be forever grateful to Mary and her family for designating the Colin and Declan Carlson Fund as the beneficiary of donations in her memory.

Aunt Mary. My dearest godmother. You were beautiful and brainy and a little bossy. Unfailingly kind to everyone and always funny. You made me feel special to be your niece and godchild. You made everyone feel special because you were special.
