Shag....thank you for gracing Merrimack's children with your amazing ref abilities. I loved when my children Raegan, Naomi, & Billy had you as a ref during the basketball season. You always had a smile for everyone and truly explained why a foul was called on them. Thank you for leaving footprints in our heart.

The Baird family so loved "SHAG" as he was affectionately referred to. His quick wit, love for family, friends and his community were LEGEND. His ever-present smile will radiate the heavens when he arrives. Sincere condolences to Lorraine, Bobby and the rest of the Shagoury clan. As the great duo of Lennon & McCartney wrote "Though I know I'll never lose affection for people and things that went before, I know I'll often stop and think about them" and we will ALWAYS do just that with SHAG-Tom Baird & Family

My deepest sympathies to the Shagoury family. I met Bob through MYA Basketball. He was always there to guide and support the players, coaches and ref's. Bob was truly a role model for all. I enjoyed my conversations with him, his advice and mostly his mentorship. He was truly an icon in Merrimack youth sports!

I had the pleasure of being his friend for 70 years.........bob was a loyal friend , a gentleman and just a delight to be with.......Many a basketball game or a baseball game or football game we played together........His knowledge of sports was never questioned........He was a music lover and at the age of 15 was on radio on a prominent station in boston......He hosted the hi fi club on radio...playing the music of the 50s daily after he finished school......He also had celebrities on the radio and had the centerfielder of the red sox on twice.....Jimmy piersall was the one who visited bobby twice on the radio.......Bobby had a way about him that exuded trust and the old axiom was never truer.......To know him was to love home......i miss you bobby and will never forget you....god bless my friend and brother........

Bobby was a MYA basketball LEGAND. He kept it very simple, all that matters was the kids. Whether calling the game, mentoring young officials or even providing instructions to the players, Bob was a true community treasure. RIP my friend.

Bob was a colleague at Digital and a neighbor in Merrimack. Always so friendly and kind to everyone, he was just a good guy. After Digital I enjoyed seeing him refereeing MYA games in town, always supporting the kids. He was always such a generous and giving man. It was an honor to be his friend. May his memory be eternal.

With sadness, the Dembow family reflects on one of the kindest, most generous and warmest people we have come to know over our 44 years in Merrimack. “Mr.Shagoury”, as he was known to our boys since their earliest days with the MYA, never failed to brighten our day whenever we would see him, with not only his kind words, but with a true, uplifting and positive attitude. We will miss him, but feel fortunate that we had him in our lives

A great man who loved to dance ! I remember being at Compaq kick off in Las Vegas and at the Studio 54 nightclub. The place was packed and folks were all crowded around the dance floor cheering. We work our way to the front and there was "Shag" (as we called him) working the floor with the dancers that worked there dancing with him. He was a bright light in our Compaq/HP family and loved by all who worked with him.
