Ruth Golov Obituary
November 25, 1930 – May 16, 2023
Ruth Carolyn (Solomon) Golov of Sarasota, FL., formerly of Newton, MA. passed peacefully on May 16, 2023.
Loving wife of sixty-four years to Joseph Golov, Ruth had an earlier career in Boston radio and a continuing participation local theatre.
Ruth was an active volunteer in charitable organizations, most notably SPARCC and as a counselor for the Women's Resource Center in Sarasota FL.
She is remembered for her annual Hannukah party, love of reading, painting, and theatre. In her later years she studied Italian and made multiple trips to Italy making use of her new found language skills.
With her husband, children, and grandchildren she traveled often in the United States and to Europe.
She is survived by her children Andrew and Margo Golov, Dr Stephen and Leslie Miley, grandchildren JP and Marci (Reidy) Bleibtreu, Hallie Golov, Theodore Woolsey and two great grandchildren, Bodie and Jasper.
Charitable contributions in memory of Ruth can be made to the All Faiths Food Bank –8171 Blaikie Ct. Sarasota, FL. 34240 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

My beautiful memory of Ruth is her welcoming me into her home as a place of rest and home cooked meals . I met Leslie, her daughter, while we were attending Hampshire College in Amherst , MA. We would retreat to Newton and be loved and pampered by Ruth! May her memory be a blessing to all she loved. Darby Logan
