William G. "Billy" Patts

1962 - 2016

PATTS William G. “Billy”, age 54, of Braintree, died peacefully, Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care facility in Milton, surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born in Braintree on March 24, 1962 to the late John and Teresa (Clare) Patts. He was a graduate of Braintree High School, Class of 1980 and had lived in Braintree for most of his life and had also lived several years in South Boston. He was employed for the U.S. Postal Service at the South Postal Annex in Boston for over thirty years. He was still working at the time of his death and was proud to have served as a shop steward. Bill had a passion for baseball, the Boston Red Sox and for his loyal companion, pet dog, Rowdy. Beloved husband of Jean (Roman) Patts. Loving step-father of Christine McNeil of Braintree. Dear brother of James Patts and his wife Kathy of Duxbury, David Patts and his wife Sharon of Kingston, John “Jack” Patts and his wife Mary of Quincy, Kevin Patts and his wife Lynda of Weymouth, the late Stephen Patts and his wife Lorraine of Rockland, Kenneth Patts and his wife Denise of Hull. Bill is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral from The Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, QUINCY on Friday, May 13, at 9:00 A.M. Funeral Mass in Saint Thomas More Church, 8 Hawthorn Road, Braintree at 10 O’clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. 8:00 P.M. Interment private.
