Claudia Albrecht Obituary
The Bozeman community mourns the passing of Claudia Maria Albrecht, who passed away on October 22, 2025.
Born and raised in westernmost Austria, Claudia's life was shaped by her love of music, language, and family. She began playing the violin at the age of eight and pursued her passion for learning and teaching across multiple disciplines. Claudia earned degrees in Music Education from the Mozarteum University of Salzburg and in English and American Studies from the University of Innsbruck, each with honors. Later, as a Fulbright Scholar, Claudia came to the United States to teach German, an experience that profoundly influenced her life and ultimately led her to make Montana her home.
In Bozeman, Claudia shared her musical gifts as a violinist with the Bozeman Symphony and the Intermountain Opera. She later found fulfillment at Montana State University, where she served as an Academic Services Coordinator. Students and colleagues alike remember her as a steady source of kindness, patience, and encouragement, and someone who made others feel welcome, supported, and seen.
Claudia was a devoted daughter, sister, and aunt, deeply connected to her family in both Austria and America. She loved being outdoors, walking, hiking, skiing, and spending time on Montana's rivers with friends. Her genuine warmth, empathy, and quiet strength touched all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to visit and say their goodbyes to Claudia on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m., with a celebration of life to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Dahl Funeral & Cremation Service in Bozeman.
