John Van Dyk Obituary
In 1949, John married Charlotte VanderZee. He farmed in the Churchill area until 1966, when he moved to southern California and worked on dairies until starting his own gardening service. He then retired to Gresham in 1988.
John is survived by his wife, Charlotte; four children, Richard Van Dyk, Gladys Vinsonhaler, Jay Van Dyk, and Janet Wuestneck; brother, Ralph; sister, Jennie Klompien; three sisters-in-law, Laverne, Mary, and Joan; and two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Churchill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Parkinson Foundation, PO Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018.
Arrangements are in the care of Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service, www.dokkennelson.com.
