Richard Saputo Obituary

Richard Saputo, 82, of Bozeman, Montana, died August 11, 2025, of natural causes. Richard was cremated, and his ashes will be scattered in his favorite places.

Richard was born December 10, 1942, and grew up in Malta, MT. He served in the USAF and graduated from MSU in 1969. Richard was a timber framer for nearly 30 years at Big Timberworks in Gallatin Gateway. On his own, he became a talented furniture maker.

Richard is survived by his wife, Ellen; Ali Ramirez lost her dad, and Lola lost her buddy. He is also survived by step-sons, Michael and Scott Barr, of Utah; sister, Francis Demarias, and brother, Beau Winkle, both of Malta, MT.

Richard was always ready to give a helping hand to co-workers, friends and neighbors who will continue to miss him. To those who loved and cared about Richard, we ask that you remember a special time spent with him, and carry that with you.

Memorials in Richard's honor are suggested to The Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter, 1549 E. Cameron Bridge Rd, Bozeman, MT, 59718. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www. dahlcares.com.
