Heartfelt condolences are extended to the family of Alberta Smith. Many Manatee County residents are aware of her outstanding track record for great courage, high intellect and enduring passion for School Health. Her teamwork ethic and extraordinary partnership development skills resulted in comprehensive screenings and health services for thousands of students in many schools in Manatee County. So many children were able to see better, read better and do better because of the ongoing vision screening partnership with the Lion´s Club. Services of this type can only be envisioned as having far reaching positive consequences for generations to come. Alberta Smith´s kindness, caring and unwavering passion for School Health will always be remembered.
