Barbara A. Gosselin Nye Holland

Brandenton, Florida - Barbara A. Gosselin Nye Holland went home to be the Lord on January 16, 2024. Barbara was born February 7, 1942, in Boston and grew up in North Quincy, MA where she graduated from North Quincy High, Class of 1959.

She is preceded in death by her first husband William F. Nye (d. 1978); her second husband Jeremiah W. Holland, Jr (d. 2013), her son William C. Nye (d. 2017) and her sister Carol Gosselin Rinaldi (d. 2024).

Barbara is survived by her sons Thomas Nye of Kannapolis, N.C, Richard (Janete) Nye of Brockton, MA, John (Mandi) Nye of Bradenton, FL, and daughter Cynthia (Thomas) Kalligher of Sugar Grove, IL, her brother William Gosselin, James Gosselin, and sister Joan Gosselin Greene.

Barbara was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She met her husband William F. Nye and married September 2, 1961 before moving to Brockton, MA where she raised her five children. Barbara moved to Bradenton, Florida in 1984 with her 2nd husband Jeremiah W. Holland, Jr. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and West Bradenton Baptist Church. Barbara loved to sing in the church choir, collect antiques, watch Turner Classic movies, the History Channel, and was an avid history buff who rarely lost at trivia.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. We ask that you please raise a glass of milk and dip an Oreo for Barbara.
