Bessie was one of the finest people I have ever known. I never heard a negative word from her about any student or co-worker with whom we worked. It was an honor to serve for many years as her principal and colleague. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Mrs Armstead was my 5th grade teacher. What I remembered the most about her was the attention to details she developed with each student. She was the standard in her prime when she was teaching. There will always be a place in my heart for a teacher that taught me so much.

Mrs. Armstead was my mentor at Wakeland Elementary when I began teaching in Manatee County. She was the most loveliest of ladies that ever graced this earth. I learned so much from her. I hold a special place in my heart for her always.
