Clifford Dunham Obituary

Clifford A. Dunham, Sr.of Parrish, 86, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2012, Memorial Day, at the Dr.'s Hospital in Sarasota. Born on August 14, 1925 in Fords, NJ, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Once home, he joined his father and brother Tom in the family business, Willard Dunham Construction Company, still going strong 75 years later. He was on the board of Trustees for the building Contractors Association of New Jersey. He loved gardening, traveling and gathering with friends & family. He retired in 1990 ready to find new adventures. Loving Parrish, he moved to River Wilderness Golf and Country Club enjoying golf daily. Sadly, in 2004, his wife Jeanne passed. In 2007, he married Geraldine Mines. He is survived by children Sylvia Tylka, Colleen Hamrah and Clifford Dunham, Jr., 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A service will be held at Christian Retreat, off 64 East, Bradenton on June 16th at 2p.m. Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to Christian Retreat in honor of Cliff Dunham, Sr., 941-746-2882. www.christianretreat.org. He will be greatly missed by all who knew his kind handshake, soft words, glowing eyes and friendly smile.

Cliff, I just read online about your passing and wish I had known sooner. You were a very nice and friendly man and I am glad I had the pleasure of knowing you. I was introduced to you by my cousin Geraldine when you and she came for a visit. I wish condolences to your family and friends.
