Daniel Wade

1966 - 2025

Daniel B. "Dan" Wade, of Lakewood Ranch, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, surrounded by family and friends after a long illness. Born in Atlanta but mostly raised in Bradenton, he attended Mars Hill College and later lived for many years in Boston before returning home.

Dan spent his career in food and beverage management, working in his much-loved areas like Highlands, NC, and Martha's Vineyard. He was most fulfilled during his 15 years as an Event Manager at The Resort at Longboat Key Club.

An avid mountain biker, cook, photographer, traveler, and animal lover, Dan was a devoted father and actively involved uncle whose warmth and humor brought joy to all-especially children.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Stella Wade, and daughter Carly Stella Wade; brother Jonathan Wade and sister-in-law Leslie Wade; sister MaryMargaret Wade Armstrong and brother-in-law Greg Amstrong; niece Caitlin Wade Caballero and her family; sister-in-law Kristin Stella and nephews Alex, Joseph, and Timothy Hellesoe; mother-in-law Jane Stella; and brother-in-law Timothy Stella and sister-in-law Sara Stella. He was predeceased by his parents, James U. "Jim" Wade and Jane Wade, niece Shannon Wade, and many adored pets.

A celebration of Dan's life will be held December 20, 2025, from 1–5 p.m. at the Harbourside Dining Room, located at 3000 Harbourside Dr., Longboat Key, FL 34228.
