Not sure what to say?

Hello Mrs Mize; you many not remember me since 30 years ago in 1984. I worked with Dave on the Siemens/Allison Plant in Palmetto, Fl when we both worked for Lockwood Greene Engineers. LGE sent me down from a NY job, and I was glad to return to Florida because I had a home in Pensacola. I, Jim Reeves and one older structural Engineer worked there together. I have seen none of these folks since. (Did you keep up with Jim Reeves and his family?) I did speak with Dave once or twice when he worked at Port Manatee. Upon looking him up today I see his death notice and want to extend my sympathies even though it has been 4 years since his passing. Your kids were so young and cute then riding around on the front porch of your home in Bradenton. I came to your home a few times and did meet you. Dave was so proud of that home he was fixing up then. I am now 73 and proud to still be working as a self employed person. ( timwilliams.biz) Please send me photos of you all thru the years since 1984 til recent. Thanks and best wished to you all in the future. Tim Williams -- [email protected]

Joanne, Anne, and Chad,
My heart goes out to all of you at this time. I will think of the twinkle in David's eye every time I see a candle. From stops at the donut shop before swim team, to errecting the monstrous swing at Stewart Elementary, to the wonderful gumbo at Christmas...many times to cherish. He was a true friend to Brian. They are probably sharing a joke at this moment together!
Soon, we will all have peace with our losses. Know the Murphy's are thinking of you, all!
Love, Kris

The Mize Family. My deepest sympathies. I had the pleasure of working with David on Port Manatee jobs and after, as friends. He was always upbeat, had that infectious grin and, and to me, his word was his bond. He took lots of pleasure in teaching this midwest boy the proper way to cook shrimp. What a nice guy. We will surely miss him.

Jo Anne, Chad and Anne,
Though we have never met I am related to you. David and my Mother were first cousins. My Mother's name was Bernice Phillips. She died 2/29/2000. David came to North Carolina to visit with her just prior to her death and cooked seafood for her. I remember a story of when David was a small child and he was choking on a quarter. Aunt Mary Lee panicked, but my Grandmother Hattie Lee picked him up turned him upside down shaking him and beating on his back. The quarter came out and he was fine. My brother David Phillips that died at age 38 years on 12/14/1999 was named after David Mize. During my childhood my Mother related how much she loved her cousin David. I wish that I had spent more time with him. I am truly sorry for your loss. May the Lord comfort you through friends, family, circumstances and His word. With sympathy,
