Greeneville, Tennessee - Dennis Dotson, 73, passed away on November 7, 2025, in Greeneville, Tennessee.
Born on January 22, 1952, Dennis led a life marked by service, adventure, and dedication. He served as an air traffic controller for the U.S. Army before embarking on a distinguished career with West Manatee Fire Rescue, where he rose to the rank of Battalion Chief before retiring.
In his younger years, Dennis was an avid runner who completed numerous marathons. In retirement, he found joy and peace hiking the scenic mountains of East Tennessee along with traveling all over the USA. His love for the outdoors reflected his adventurous spirit and appreciation for nature's quiet strength.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Linda Dotson; his stepson, Matthew Shaw; his brother, Wayne Dotson and wife Barbara; his sister, Linda Davis; and his nephew, Brian Davis. He also leaves behind his faithful companions, Snickers and Moose. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and Warren Dotson.
No services are planned at this time. Selflessly, Dennis wished his body donated to the research of Myositis.
