Elbert "Cooney", not Coney (This ain't Brooklyn :-) was known to us as "Uncle Bub" An all around great guy...Loved to visit with us every year in the fall and watching the trees "turn colors" here in NY... Always willing to help..He is the only one I would trust as a baby sitter...at 86 was sharp as a tack. (wish I was) Gonna miss those jokes of his. We got such a kick out of his jokes which became even funnier because of his southern accent which we all loved. Our friends and family are all going to miss him, but those great "Uncle Bub" stories will remain with us forever..

Elbert was known as "Pops" on the golf course and always had a pocket full of candy. He would give you a piece of candy and then tell you a joke. My favorite one was "The two ladies sitting at the bus stop" one lady said I've sat here so long my behind has went to sleep. The other lady said yes I know, I heard it snore a minute a go.
