Elene Minchener Obituary

Elene Loretta DiMaio Minchener, of Charlotte, N.C., died at 5:48p.m., Monday, May 21, 2007, in her home. She lived for sixteen years in Palmetto, Fla., and prior to that in Jamestown, N.Y. She was the wife of Arthur C. Minchener, whom she married Sept. 1, 1941, in Jamestown, N.Y. She was born Sept. 27th, in Falconer, N.Y., the daughter of Alexander and Nina DiCarlo DiMaio. In earlier years, she had been employed at the National Worsted Mills, Jamestown Veneer, and Plywood, Sterlingworth, and later at Sanitary Wiping Co. She attended St. John Neumann Catholic Church, and was a life long member of St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church, in Jamestown, N.Y. She is survived by her husband, Arthur C. Minchener; two daughters, Jacqueline Coan (Ronald), of Matthews, N.C., and Judy Denison, of Dunkirk, N.Y.; and four sons, Jerry Minchener, of Bradenton, Fla., Jeffrey Minchener, of Jamestown, N.Y., James Minchener, of Willard, N.C., and John Minchener (Kelly), of Matthews, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Aldino and Roland DiMaio, both of Jamestown; and one sister, Josephine Zach, of Jamestown. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Adam Minchener; three sisters, Hilda Mountain, Delores Boutelle, and Christine Beals; and two brothers, Guido and Frank DiMaio. The family will receive friends from 6-8p.m., at Heritage Funeral Home, in Indian Trail, N.C., where prayers will be held at 7:30p.m., on Friday, May 25, 2007. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, 1420 East 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28204. Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service, Indian Trail Chapel, is serving the family. Online condolences may be left at heritagefuneral.net

Dear Minchener Family,
Iam sorry to hear about your loss, i too loss my grandmother and know the feeling of losin someone special. I may have not known her but Iam sure she touched everyones heart in her own way.
