A Veteran of the US Army during Korea and he served in Germany, he was the computer programmer for IBM working with NASA and was responsible for the computer program launching the first man to the moon. He was the former owner of the Seafood Shack Restaurant, he attended the University of Florida on the GI Bill and was a life-long Gator fan.
