James L. DePorre Sr.

James L. DePorre Sr., 79, Bradenton, passed away March 23, 2007 at Blake Medical Center. Born February 25, 1928 in Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich., he moved to Manatee County in 1994 from Bloomfield Hills, Mich. He was a member of Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran during the Korean Conflict. He spent 20 years as an Executive with GM then another 20 years as a Real Estate Broker all in Michigan. He is survived by his living wife of 51 years, Janet; three sons, James of Anna Maria Island, Barry of Orchard Lake, Mich. and Leon of Bradenton; Also survived by five daughters, Janet Raynaud of Ruskin, Martine Leech of Farmington, Mich., Sue DePorre of Palm Springs, Calif., Chris Good of Oxford, Mich., and Yvette Gonczy of Bradenton. Survived by two sisters, Juliette Zaranak of Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich. and Zelma Defever of New Baltimore, Mich.; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation will be 6-8p.m., Tuesday, March 27, Brown & Sons Funeral Homes 43rd St. Chapel. Mass will be 9:30a.m.,Wednesday, March 28 at Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Bradenton.
