I knew Johnny when I lived on Anna Maria back in the 60s on Crescent Drive. I also served in the National Guard with him. I always knew him as a man of integrity and a person you could enjoy a conversation with. I moved away many years ago and ended up in Arkansas. I often think of the men I served with and it was a tough time with Viet Nam going on. He was a good soldier and a man to depend on. I wish I could visit the many I served with like Johnny but time is catching us. My regard to his wife and family. He is going to be missed by all of us.
