Katherine Redeker Obituary

Katherine 'Kit' Redeker 96, passed away peacefully February 7, 2026. Born January 14, 1930, in Kalamazoo Michigan to the late John and Grace Klosterman, Katherine enjoyed her large family of eight brothers and one sister.

She graduated from Kalamazoo Christian High School in 1948. She married the love of her life, Dale Russell Redeker, Sr. on May 22, 1951. They had a year long honeymoon in Panama while Dale served in the United States Army.

Kit and Dale had four children; Dale, Jr (Marilyn), preceded his parents in 2011, Susan, David, and Timothy (Laura). She adored her granddaughters, Sedona (Allen) Crow and Abrye Redeker.

Over the years on a sunny day, you might have seen Kit riding her three wheel bike around Anna Maria Island as she visited Anna Maria Island businesses to collect bingo prizes for Annie Silver Community Center. She was known for her kindness and great sense of humor and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at Crosspoint Fellowship on February 20, 2026 beginning at 11 AM, in June. A memorial service will be held at Hope reformed church in Kalamazoo Michigan.
