Leroy Arnold
Leroy Arnold, 74, of Bradenton (formerly of Bradenton Beach, Fla.), died June 9, 2004, at St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Petersburg, Fla. A Memorial service will be Monday, June 14, 2004 at 10 a.m. at Harvey Memorial Community Church in Bradenton Beach, Fla., with Rev. Bill Grossman officiating. Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Island Chapel in charge. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky, April 13, 1930, and came to Manatee County from Miamisburg, Ohio, in 1981. He was a school teacher and hotel manager. He was a councilman of Bradenton Beach from 1985-1987 and was a former Mayor of Bradenton Beach from 1995-1997, also a member of the Moose Lodge. He is survived by two daughters, Iris Kay Perry of Bradenton, Fla., and Leda Weng of Cortez, Fla; six sons, Leroy Arnold Jr., Larry Arnold and Paul Arnold, all of Bradenton; John Arnold of Charleston, S.C.; Timothy Arnold of Miamisburg, Ohio, and Herbert Arnold of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters Nancy Keaton of Bradenton, and Winola Montgomery of Lexington, Kentucky; one brother, Joseph Arnold of Lexington, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
