Mary Straubinger Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Straubinger (Betty McKenna), 86, Bradenton, passed away on March 3, 2005, at her residence. Mrs. Straubinger made Florida her home in 1980 with her husband the late Dr. Clarence A. Straubinger. She was a retired R.N., an avid bridge player in both Florida and her summer home in Point Albino, Canada. Survivors include three children, John (Katie) Straubinger of Boston, Mass., Dr. Robert (Ninfa) Straubinger of Snyder, N.Y., Mary Beth (Arthur) Gill of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada; brother, Charles McKenna of Carthage, N.Y.; grandchildren, Nick and Justin Rine, Leslie and Christopher Wright of Buffalo, N.Y., Thomas and Peter Straubinger of Snyder, N.Y., Sarah and Annie Straubinger of Boston, Mass.; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Friday at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Bradenton. The family wishes to make a special thank you to Hospice of S.W. for their support and request that memorials be made to Hospice at 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238 in her memory. Betty was a strong, determined, witty and loving woman who will be deeply missed by all.
