Richard Reeves Obituary

Died November 22nd, 2014 at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center due to complications from Leukemia. Rich was 55 years old, born on April 2, 1959 in New Britain, Connecticut. After moving to Florida, he married Mindy (Melinda) Reeves and had 2 beautiful children, Kaitlyn and Jessica Reeves. Rich loved boating of any kind and spent many afternoons on the water. Music was his other passion, having shared his music with almost everyone he knew. Rich held a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from RIT and was a successful high school science teacher. He also worked for Kodak in Rochester for many years. Rich is survived by Mindy, Katie and Jessie. Also by his brother, John and Vicki Serna and family, his cousins Phil, Tony and Dave and a group of loving friends. An informal gathering is being held at 10 AM on Saturday, December 6th, on the beach within the Emerson Point Preserve on Snead Island, where his ashes will be scattered. Rich, we miss you so much and it's only been a few weeks. We did it right and if you could see I hope you were proud. The girls are good and I think it was soothing to have so many good friends and family around. You will always be Rockin' Rich Reeves. Till I see you again in heaven I will love you.

I am sincerely sorry to hear of your loss. I remember the good times that we shared together. Rich did love music. I recall Elton John and Billy Joel, and Key West as memorable times together.
