Ruby Bryan Obituary

Ruby, 89, dedicated her life first to God, then her family and friends. She lived a servant's life amassing great treasures in Heaven. She claimed those treasures on May 17, 2010. Ruby was born on June 2, 1920 to Dana Rae and Leola Melrose in Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 siblings, and her daughter, Donna Diaz. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Densmore Bryan; daughter, Glenda Barger; sons, Joe Bryan & wife Carla, Mike Bryan & wife Pam; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. We, her family, picture her now holding the hand of Jesus, walking through gardens of red roses, azure skies above, her favorite bluegrass music playing in the background ~ they are making plans for the rest of us to arrive. A celebration of Ruby's life will be held at 10:00am, Sat., May 22, at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, 6789 NW 39th, followed by interment in Bethany Cemetery. Ruby was Densmore's first love. They always were a loving couple when you would see them in church or anywhere else. Ruby loved the church. She was loved by all. So many good memories. About the last time I saw her she mentioned that she remembered writing checks to me when I was working for Densmore when they were building the Gilbert Clinic and Chapman Hall at the college, It was at that time that I saw the love they had for his family. It was so good to see them in church with each other. She always had a beautiful smile. I loved her ever since Densmore introduced me to her
