Thomas "Tom" Brooks
October 20, 1943 - April 5, 2023
Bradenton, Florida - Thomas "Tom" Brooks went home to the Lord on April 5, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born on October 20, 1943, in Kent, Ohio, to Harold and Irene (Mark) Brooks. He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa and friend to everyone who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Beverly (Stauffer); daughter, Kimberly (Mike) DeYoung; grandchildren; Nathan (Chelsea), Sarah, and Micah; great-grandson, Levi; brother, Phillip Brooks; and his best buddy, Koal. He is preceded in death by his parents; Harold and Irene Brooks; brother, Harold Brooks, Jr; and sisters; Joann Girtz and Marilyn Whitaker. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Visitation will be Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. with Services to follow at 11:30 A.M. at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209. Oh Bev I am so sorry for your loss. Tom was a special friend to us for many years and always had such a giving, servant heart. I know that you are missing him so much already and it's strange because it is so bitter sweet. Knowing that he is with Jesus allows us to be joyful for him but at the same time not having him here is sorrowful for you and your precious family.
