William Ramsey Obituary
Born in Memphis Tennessee he moved to Palmetto with his family when he was a teenager. Phil graduated from Palmetto High School where he enjoyed playing the tuba in the marching band. He then served a brief time in the United States Navy on the ship USS Paul.
Phil retired in 2022 after a long career at Sysco Food Services in Palmetto. He made so many lasting friendships from his days there.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Ramsey of Palmetto Florida, preceded in death by his father.William Ramsey jr. (Bill) and preceded in death by his sister Jennifer Ramsey Varnadore.
He is survived by his 2 sons Erik Ramsey of Palmetto and Jacob (Rachel) Ramsey also of Palmetto Florida and their mother Barbara McRee Ramsey of Bradenton Florida. He loved being a Grandpa and Pawpaw to Winter (Winnie) Ramsey, Aven Ramsey and Nevaeh Ramsey.
His family meant the world to him and his memory will be forever cherished by all who were a part of his life.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday 11/29/25 at the VFW 9226 - 3513 12th street east in Ellenton Florida from 11 a.m. -1 p.m.
